TOP 10 THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT OUR REGULAR SERVICES:
10) Dress Code – Wear what you’re comfortable in. Throw on some joggers, sneakers and a t-shirt. Ball caps are fine, if you’d like. People have come directly from work wearing scrubs. Dress up if you want. Wear something in between. We’re simply glad you’re here!
9) Getting into the Building – There’s a Main Courtyard Entrance. It’s on the side of the building, with double glass doors. It’s a pretty entrance with plants and engraved bricks. Park anywhere you want in the parking lot, as it’s big with plenty of space.
8) The Small Red Barns near the entrance – Those are our Food Pantry and Borrowing Book Library. Take what you want or need.
7) After coming in the Glass Doors, go UP the stairs to your RIGHT or take the elevator UP to the Upper Level to get to the Worship Center.
6) Have a cup of coffee or tea upstairs, if you’d like, or grab a nutrigrain bar if you’ve been hustling to arrive.
5) Bathrooms are located near the drinking fountain.
4) There will be ushers around who will say hi and give you a bulletin (printed program), so you know what to expect. We’ll sit down and stand up at different times during the service. That will be noted or we’ll tell you. If you have trouble standing, that’s fine, you can
stay seated. If we’re saying something together during the service, it will be in bold font. There are red hymn books near the seats to use if you’d like to sing along.
3) You can bring your kids and we’d love to have them! There’s a time in the service when the kids are invited forward for the Children’s Sermon. They usually run up the center aisle, which is fun! It’s a chill time to hang out with Pastor Sara to talk and learn about God.
2) We have prayers, Bible readings, music, a sermon, the Lord’s Prayer, Apostle’s Creed and Communion. The words and instructions are in your bulletin, so it’s easy to follow.
Communion is how we celebrate Jesus dying for our sins and giving us everlasting life. All who want Jesus are welcome to receive that. It doesn’t matter what denomination you are or when the last time was you came to church. Jesus sets a big table and ALL are invited!
1) We start at 10 a.m. and should be done by 11:15-ish. We do announcements at the beginning at 10 a.m., someone then rings the church bell to celebrate something they’re thankful about, and then we start the service.
